I also was able to resolve the issue by adding a name attribute to a form tag. WIthout name, onsubmit was instead rendering a new page. Once I added an arbitrary name attribute, normal behavior ensued.

We´ve just found out it is caused by missing “name” atribute in tag. It´s also working in your example, just try to add any name.

I have been debugging for quite some time and finally, after discovering such difficulty in passing a simple object, I found your post. I’m just glad to see someone else describe the same issue as mine.
